Visual information reinforces our ability to absorb, understand, and remember details about an event. We have an understanding of this based on our own personal learning and teaching experiences, but there is scientific analysis to back it up!

Did you know that the visual components of our brain take up around 30% of our cerebral cortex? Comparatively, touch only occupies around 8% of the cerebral cortex and hearing takes up just 3%. Additionally, the area of our brain which sources our language abilities is located almost exclusively in just one hemisphere.
