Uniloc v. Microsoft

(Software) – DI created animations to examine the authorization process used by Microsoft to prevent unlicensed use of its product. Uniloc, which had patented the technology in 1992, used the animation to show how Microsoft infringed it's patent. The jury agreed, finding that Microsoft had will fully infringed Uniloc's patent and awarding Uniloc $388 million, one of the largest damages awards ever for a patent litigation.
