Tractor Collision. DI was hired to recreate a collision and defend the actions of a tractor driver. DI also developed graphics to point out inaccuracies in the animations prepared by plaintiffs. The case settled very favorably for the defense shortly after the DI project manager was deposed.

Semi Trailer Braking. Very accurate simulation based animations were created to explain how a semi behaves differently depending on which axle the brakes are locked up.

Twisty Trailer. This animation was used to show that a truck driver took a curve too fast causing his trailer to roll over in front of an oncoming truck. Further, it was demonstrated that the cargo straps were broken as a result of the collision and were not the cause.

Truck/Motorcycle. The animated re-enactment shows how a motorcycle driver could easily avoided impact with a semi making a right turn. The animations, which were narrated by the expert, show the testimony of various witnesses to allow the trier of fact to "see" which testimony is believable and which is not. The insurance carrier attributed approximately $15 million in savings on the resulting settlement to the use of this animation.

Carolina Truck. This animation shows that a truck driver was not paying attention, causing him to rear-end another truck. The presentation goes on to show that the driver's injuries were not caused by the trailer when its king pin came loose from the fifth wheel, but instead by impact with the steering wheel due to the fact he was not wearing his seat belt.

Explorer/Tractor Collision. Shows injuries received by the driver and rear seat passenger of an Explorer when it crossed the double yellow line at extremely high speed and collided with a large articulated 4WD agricultural tractor.

Tire Inflation System. DI's animation helped the court understand the distinctions between the accused automatic constant tire inflation system and the accuser's patents. The video helped achieve a favorable claim construction and a subsequent non-infringement ruling on summary judgment.
